President and CEO
Prior to the launch of Mercury Retail Services and since 2006, Trey has held the position of President and CEO of The News Group Central, L.P., which he continues to hold. From 2001 – 2007, he served as General Manager of the Grand Prairie Division. Trey holds a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin and received his MBA from Southern Methodist University.
Chief Financial Officer
Gary graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. After college, Gary worked with the “Big 4″ public accounting firm Ernst & Young (then known as Arthur Young & Company) as a Senior Auditor and then with Victoria Mortgage Company as the Chief Financial Officer. Gary joined the company in 1996 and is a Certified Public Accountant.
David W. Forsman
Chief Marketing Officer
Celebrating his 25th year in the newsstand circulation business, Dave is currently CMO for Mercury Retail Services, and has been since January of 2011. Prior to that, he was EVP Sales & Marketing for the News Group – Central Division. Prior to joining The News Group – Central Division, Dave was Vice President for the Marketing Affiliates Group, a wholesale distribution Sales & Marketing Cooperative. He has also held various positions with Conde Nast Publications, and TDS (now Time Warner Retail). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business, with a Marketing Concentration from California State University, Fresno. Dave is married, with two daughters, makes his home in Texas, and enjoys basketball, cycling, golf, reading and skiing..
Executive Vice President, Sales
Prior to working for Mercury retail services, Dave worked for The Kroger Co. for 23 years, with 20 years spent in the Smith’s division. He spent the first 9 years in the stores working up through all levels of Store Management. He has extensive experience in Category Management, and for the past 13 years he has managed most of the Health and Beauty, and General Merchandise Categories including Candy. His most recent responsibilities included Marketing Manager of General Merchandise for the Kroger Enterprise in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Executive Vice President
Randy commanded for over 10 years in the USAF Special Operations. During that time he was recognized in the services “Portraits in Courage” for his heroic actions on the battlefield of Iraq. His extensive leadership background includes managing the operations of several large military organizations and combat units. He was also credited with architecting high level operational strategies and programs; for which he was awarded the prestigious Chief of Staff Excellence Award. Randy joined the company in 2010 and is an experienced leader.
EVP of Enterprise Information Systems
Terry has over 31 years experience leading technology operations in distribution and supply chain management systems. His expertise includes Customer Relationship Management, Information systems, Business Analytics and Performance Management, Web Development, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Infrastructure Consolidation and Management and mobile services. Terry graduated from San Diego State University in 1979 with a BS in Business Administration, Finance & Computer Systems.
Executive Director of Marketing
Paige began her career as an account manager for Mercury Retail Services in August of 1999. She also spent time as a route supervisor and depot manager during her career. She currently holds the position of Executive Director of Sales and Marketing. Through her leadership, our team continues to experience continued success with all of our valued retail partners.
Ryan joined the Mercury Team in December 2010. Prior to moving to Texas, he has had 8 years of experience holding Sales and Marketing positions. He came to Mercury after serving as the Sr. Director of New Business Development for Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) where he worked with many of the top retailers, cpg companies, and professional services companies. His focus will be to identify and garner new opportunities as Mercury continues to grow. He holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA. Plan on seeing Ryan at all Trade Shows and Industry meetings.
Director of Corporate Communications
Sandy graduated from University of the Incarnate Word with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She has over 7 years experience working in the communications field having worked as a Sales Coordinator at Meximerica Media and a Production Manager for Bauhaus Media Group. Sandy was promoted to Director of Corporate Communications in September of 2010 and also maintains her duties as Executive Assistant to President and CEO, Trey Holder.
Director of Accounts Receivables & Retailer Systems

Tara brings a vast amount of experience to Mercury Retail Services having worked in the periodicals industry for over 20 years. Originally from Pennsylvania, she relocated to Texas in the 1980s with her husband who was serving in the Air Force at Randolph AFB and now calls San Antonio home.
Elizandro ‘Elly’ Decena, Jr.
Sr. Director of Retail Operations
Grand Prairie, Texas
Elly brings more than seventeen years of operational and logistical management experience to his position at Mercury Retail Services, where he coordinates and manages all aspects of the company’s merchandising activities. He joined The News Group Central, L.P. in 2004 and has held the positions of Field Operations Manager and Assistant GM/Warehouse Manager. He spent eleven years as Transportation/Warehouse Manager for OfficeMax at its DFW Airport Delivery Center and also coordinated efforts at the OfficeMax Chicago and Houston facilities.
